Manofatto is slang for handmade in Italian. My great Aunt Antonietta, who lived to be 100 years of age from Puglia, Italy, taught it to me. She said it to me constantly as she swatted me around the kitchen, and explained all of the glorious things she produced "manofatto."
Manofatto has dug its roots into my life. I frequently say it and try, just like Antonietta, to produce, bake, cook, and create as much as I can by hand.
I made the very wise decision to marry my husband, Craig, in 2013. He happens to know his way around a woodshop and builds each of our giftboxes by hand, in various sizes and wood varietals. I also teamed up with my sister, Gabby, who does the gorgeous hand-calligraphy on all of my cards. I've been on sports teams my entire life and seem destined to continue down that path with Team Manofatto. It's all about family. Antonietta would love it.
Welcome to my shop. We look forward to making something special for you and your loved ones.
